Volunteer
A timeless truth uttered by Jesus is that the harvest is plentiful but the workers are few. Our campus ministry team is praying for volunteers who would like to join us in His work as we seek to increase our reach among college students in Boston and beyond. The Navigators have been at Boston University since 1999. Over the years our capacity has been greatly enhanced by volunteers who can offer 5-10 hours per week to assist with various aspects of our ministry.
Here are some opportunities:
Bible Study Leader
Partner with a student leader to help facilitate an upperclassmen Bible study. This may include occasional meals with students that could lead to discipling relationships.
Freshman-Connection Mentor
Participate in a weekly freshman bible study Monday 7:00-8:15pm. Follow-up with students and develop discipling relationships. We especially need 1 or 2 women for this role.
Greek Life Bible Study Mentor
Start a Bible study in a fraternity or sorority house. Mature Christians with a Greek life background would be especially welcome for this initiative.
Prayer Partners
Meet with a student periodically to build a relationship and begin to pray for one another.
Marketplace Mentors
Bring your vocational expertise to students. We are looking for Christians who could occasionally meet with students to talk about the integration of faith and work.
Speakers
Speak at a Nav Night. Individuals with theological or vocational expertise are welcome who could share their wisdom at our large group meeting. Thursdays from 7:00-8:30pm.
Special Interest Workshop Leaders
Lead a workshop on a topic or skill that would add value to students.
Saturday Sports Volunteer
Play sports and build relationships. We are looking for friendly Christians to join Navs on Saturdays from 11-2pm for sports and lunch. Enjoy good conversations about life and faith.
Community Service Coordinator
Organize monthly service opportunities among the many excellent organizations doing justice work in the city.
Food Donations
Donate soup, casserole or a crockpot dish for open dinners on Thursdays before each Nav Night. Students stop by for fellowship and then head over to Navs together.
Financial Partners
